Payment & Retention Policy

Payment Terms

All invoices for embroidery and custom services must be paid in full prior to production & pickup.  We accept payment via credit, debit, PayPal & Apple Pay.

Right to Retain Customer Items (Artisan’s Lien)

By submitting items for embroidery or custom services (including BYOI garments), you acknowledge and agree that Bluebird Embroidery retains a possessory lien on all customer-provided items until payment is received in full.

This lien is granted under Tennessee Code Title 66, Chapter 14, which allows artisans to retain possession of items they have worked on to secure payment for labor, materials, and services provided.

Nonpayment and Remedies

If payment is not received within 30 days from the invoice date, Bluebird Embroidery reserves the right to take legal steps to recover the outstanding balance, including:

  • Providing any notice required by law to the customer.
  • Selling, repurposing, or otherwise disposing of the retained items in accordance with Tennessee law.

Proceeds from any sale will be applied first to the outstanding balance, with any remaining funds returned to the customer.

Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate item quantities and information at the time of order. Any changes in quantity or design may require re-quoting or adjustment of pricing.
